Te Arawa survived many grievances & loss of land, waterways & taonga however we were able to adapt. There were core values that Te Arawa were guided by which are as relevant (if not more) today as they were many years ago. We need your help to find out what values are important to you regarding our Lakes.
The Te Arawa Lakes Trust is leading a project to develop a “Te Arawa Cultural Values Framework” to fulfil the vision & Te Arawa-specific goals of the Rotorua Lakes Strategy.
A series of hui will be held to wānanga with Te Arawa on our cultural, traditional & spiritual relationships with our lakes. No reira e te Iwi, nau mai haere mai ki enei hui ki te whakawhitiwhiti korero e pa ana ki nga Roto o Te Arawa!
